DRUM SCREEN

Rotary drum screen is one of the main components of the continuous hydrapulper impurity removal system. It is suitable for the rough selection of tailing.Drum screen is mainly used for waste paper pulping and it is installed after the pulper or impurity separator, which can remove light debris with large shapes in the process to reduce the load of subsequent screening equipment.

Product Structure

The rotary drum screen is mainly composed of a screen drum, a frame, a geared motor drive device, a belt drive device, a supporting wheel device, a retaining wheel device and a water spray pipe system. There are spiral blades in the screen drum, which can transport impurities. Light impurities containing pulp enter the screen drum from the pulp inlet. Under the action of gravity, the good pulp passes through the screen holes（Φ8-Φ14mm）and is discharged from the good pulp outlet. The light impurities are conveyed by the spiral blades in the screen drum to the tail of the screen drum. The water spray system is installed on both sides of the screen drum. On the one hand, it cleans the slurry in the impurities, and on the other hand, it flushes the screen drum to keep the screen holes unobstructed.

Working Principle

The working part of the rotary drum screen is cylindrical, and the whole screen rotates around the axis of the cylinder, and the axis is generally installed at a small inclination angle. The material is fed from one end of the cylinder, the fine-grade material passes through the sieve holes on the cylindrical working surface, and the coarse-grained material is discharged from the other end of the cylinder.
