Structure and Principles：
A typical flotation tank consists of a feed zone, a mixing zone, a flotation zone and an outlet zone. Key components include the rotor-stator foaming system, a liquid level regulating device and a foam scraping mechanism. During operation, the slurry is fully mixed with the deinking agent and then enters the flotation tank. The rotor rotates at high speed to generate tiny bubbles (with a diameter of 0.2-1mm being optimal). The ink particles, due to their hydrophobic nature, preferentially adsorb onto the bubbles and are then scraped off along with the foam layer. The clean slurry is discharged from the bottom, and the entire process takes approximately 3-5 minutes.
Main Feature：
Efficient de-inking is its greatest advantage. When processing newsprint, the de-inking rate can reach over 85%, while for office waste paper, it is approximately 70-80%. A multi-stage series design (usually 3-5 stages) can further enhance the de-inking effect. The equipment has relatively low energy consumption, with an electricity consumption of about 15-30 kWh per ton of pulp. Modern models are equipped with an automatic control system, which can adjust the air intake volume, liquid level, and chemical agent addition amount in real time to ensure stable operation. The tank body is mostly made of stainless steel with a wear-resistant inner lining, and its service life can reach over 10 years.
Application Area：
It is mainly applied in the production lines of recycled cultural paper, such as news paper, copy paper, writing paper, etc. In large waste paper pulp plants with a daily output of over 200 tons, usually 3 to 5 units are configured and used in series. Different waste paper raw materials require adjustments to process parameters: old newspapers need stronger mechanical action and alkaline conditions, office waste paper requires more surfactant treatment for glue residues. Special papers such as milk carton processing lines also need to combine with auxiliary processes like thermal dispersion.
